Car Detailing at Your House: What to Expect
A mobile detail happens in your driveway. All we need from the house is an outdoor spigot and a standard outlet within reach of the car, plus room to open every door and walk around it. You do not need to be home. An exterior detail takes about 45 minutes, an interior 1.5 to 2.5 hours and a full detail 2.5 to 3 hours. We detail at houses and townhomes with their own spigot, not apartment complexes or high-rise garages.
What we need from the house
Three things: an outdoor spigot, a standard outdoor outlet, and space. The spigot feeds the rinse, which runs through our de-ionizing filter before it touches the paint, so it dries spot-free even in full sun. The outlet runs the extractor, the steamer and the polishers.
Space means room to open every door fully and walk all the way around the car. A normal driveway is plenty; a car parked nose-in against a wall is not.
That is also why we do not work at apartment complexes or in high-rise garages yet — they do not have a spigot and an outlet we can use.

Do you need to be home?
No. As long as we can reach the car, the spigot and the outlet, you can be at work or out for the day. Most people leave us to it and come back to a finished car.

How long it takes
An exterior detail is about 45 minutes. An interior takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours and a full detail 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the size of the vehicle and its condition. Heavy pet hair, extraction and the other add-ons add time, and we will tell you roughly how much when we quote.

Sun, shade and the driveway
A driveway in full sun is a consideration, not a problem. We work in sections so nothing dries on the paint before it is rinsed off, and the de-ionized water leaves no spots behind. If there is shade or an open garage, we will use it.
If you are on a well or rainwater, we still use your spigot — the filter takes the minerals out before the water reaches the paint. If a rainwater tank is running low, mention it when you book.
Gated communities and HOAs
We are fully insured — $1M per occurrence, $2M aggregate and $25,000 of garage keepers coverage. If your HOA or building wants a certificate of insurance on file, we can send one the same day.
For a gated neighbourhood, add the gate instructions to your booking so we are not waiting outside.
Is there a travel fee?
