Spicewood is caliche and open sun, and both end up on the vehicle — pale dust packed in the arches and a chalky film across the paint.
Spicewood is unincorporated country west of Bee Cave, spread mainly across Burnet County and reaching into Travis and Blanco counties, with State Highway 71 as the main road in and out. It is a place of cedar-covered ranchettes, Lake Travis frontage and Pedernales River access, and in recent years a string of wineries and vineyards along 71. Homes are spread out: acreage lots, long gravel or caliche drives, detached shops and barns, and newer houses going up on land that was open pasture not long ago. Some properties back onto the lake or river, and boats and trailers are part of everyday life for a good number of households.

Trucks here often do real work, so beds, running boards and floor mats take a beating, and the interior collects the same dust through open windows and doors. The Hill Country sun has nothing to break it on open acreage. Do you drive out to Spicewood?
Yes. Spicewood is on our regular service list along with Lakeway, Bee Cave, Westlake and all of Austin. If you are just past it, text us and we will tell you straight away whether we can get to you.
What if my property has no water hookup?
For now we need one — an outdoor spigot and an outlet within reach of the car. If there is one at the house or the barn, park the car near it and we are set. If there is none at all, text us before booking and you will get a straight answer.
Can you get caliche dust out of the carpets?
Yes. Fine dust is a vacuum-and-shampoo job rather than a wipe-down, which is exactly what an interior detail is — blow-out first to lift it out of the crevices, then shampoo and extract.
Is my Spicewood property too far out for a mobile detail?
Distance is worth confirming when you book, so text 737-734-2828 with your address. As long as there is an outdoor spigot, a standard outlet and space around the vehicle, an acreage property with a long drive is no problem to work on.
Can you clean caliche dust out of a Spicewood work truck's interior?
Yes. An interior detail vacuums and wipes every surface, and the seat and carpet shampoo add-on pulls packed-in dust and mud out of fabric and mats. Engine bay detailing is also available if the dust has worked its way under the hood.
Will washing a caliche-covered truck in Spicewood scratch the paint?
