Mobile Detailing in West Cypress Hills

Twenty years in and the bulldozers are still here.

West Cypress Hills has been building out for two decades and new phases are still going up, so graded limestone dust blows across the bluffs and settles on every car parked in a driveway.

West Cypress Hills is a master-planned community in southern Spicewood, west of Lakeway, reached from Highway 71 by turning west on Cypress Ranch Road. Homes sit on rolling bluff land above the Colorado River basin, and most homesites back onto greenbelt, with trails running through the community and along a spring-fed creek. Residents share a lap pool, a resort-style family pool, a covered pavilion, a recreation centre with river-basin views, a playground and sport courts. It is in Lake Travis ISD, with West Cypress Hills Elementary on Cypress Ranch Boulevard, and the district's second high school is planned inside the community for fall 2028.

Building began in the mid-2000s and production builders are still adding phases, so the community has not yet reached full build-out. Grading limestone on open bluffs sends pale dust across the hillside whenever the wind picks up, and it settles on every car in every driveway, whether the street is finished or not. The bluffs offer little shade, so sun bakes that dust onto the paint and glass. Cars here need gentle, thorough washing that does not grind the grit in, and a slick protective layer so the next dusting rinses off. Trails and the creek add a steady supply of muddy paws and shoes.
