The newness is exactly why the sun hits so hard. Where the trees are young or cleared, a car on the driveway gets full exposure through a Texas afternoon, and clear coat without protection starts to look flat and chalky over a few summers. Irrigation overspray adds hard-water spots, and ongoing construction along 71 and 620 keeps a fine dust in the air.
