Horseshoe Bay sits on the pink granite of the Llano Uplift, and decomposed-granite drives and landscaping shed a sharp, fine grit that collects in door jambs and lower panels — the kind of dust that swirls paint if it is wiped instead of rinsed. Our answer is the water itself — we rinse with de-ionized water at 0 PPM, so there is nothing left in it to dry into the paint even in July heat, then finish with a wax that brings the shine back.
We come out to Horseshoe Bay by appointment — Applehead Island, Escondido, Summit Rock, The Trails of Horseshoe Bay, Blue Lake Estates — detailing everything from lake-house SUVs to weekend sports cars.
