Rough Hollow runs down to the water, and anything that comes off Lake Travis and dries in the sun leaves the minerals behind on the panels.
Rough Hollow is the master-planned community on the south shore of Lake Travis inside the City of Lakeway, stretching along roughly three miles of shoreline and split into dozens of smaller neighbourhoods. The Rough Hollow Yacht Club and Marina anchors the waterfront, Highland Village is the amenity hub further up the hill, and children go to Lake Travis ISD schools including Rough Hollow Elementary. Homes are mostly recent builds from several builders, with attached garages, front drives and plenty of homes still going up in the newer phases. Streets wind down the hillside toward the water, so plenty of lots have sloping driveways and views across the lake.
The lake is the draw, and it follows people home. Boat trailers, wet gear and lake water splash onto trucks and SUVs, and when that dries in the Hill Country sun it leaves mineral spots on glass, roofs and bonnets. Newer phases mean construction dust drifting across streets and settling on anything parked outside, and young landscaping means little shade. A detail here usually starts with removing water spotting and dust from the paint, then adding protection that makes the next lake weekend easier to wash off, with the boat and golf cart quoted separately if needed. Interiors take their share too, with wet swimsuits, sunscreen and sand from the lake ending up on the seats.
We work Rough Hollow every week — Lakeway, Serene Hills, Hudson Bend, Bee Cave — detailing everything from tow vehicles to garage-kept coupes. All we need from the house is an outdoor spigot and an outlet.

Do you come out to Rough Hollow?
Yes — Rough Hollow is part of our regular Lakeway area, along with Hudson Bend and Lakeway itself.
Can you get lake water spots off my paint?
Usually. Fresh mineral spotting comes off with a decontamination wash. Spotting that has baked on over a summer may have started to etch the clear coat, which needs machine polishing — paint correction, which we quote after looking at it.
Do you detail boats or trailers?
Boats, yes — Gage started TRZ detailing boats at the lake, and boat detailing is still offered by quote: call or text (737) 734-2828 with the boat and where it is kept. Trailers, ask and we will tell you straight whether it is worth doing.
Can you detail my boat at Rough Hollow?
Boats are done by quote. Text 737-734-2828 with the make, length and where it is kept, plus a couple of photos, and Gage will let you know what he can do. The car at the house can be booked through the normal booking page.
How do I keep construction dust off my car in a newer Rough Hollow phase?
Avoid wiping it dry, which drags grit across the paint. A proper wash with a pre-rinse removes it safely, and a Koch Chemie sealant or a ceramic coating keeps the surface slick so dust rinses off rather than clinging.
Can the Rough Hollow HOA get proof of insurance before you work?
Yes. TRZ is insured for $1M per occurrence, $2M aggregate and $25,000 garage keepers, and a certificate of insurance can be sent to your HOA or management company the same day.
