Mobile Detailing in Vineyard Bay

On the water, and the paint knows it.

Vineyard Bay sits at the north end of Lakeway on the lake, where mineral-heavy water and overnight damp keep a film on every panel.

Vineyard Bay is a gated, security-patrolled community on the banks of Lake Travis, reached from RR 620 via Fontaine Avenue between Mansfield Dam and Lakeway. It is small — around 84 custom homes — and lots are large, most about an acre and some much bigger, under strict architectural controls. Most homes went up in the 1980s to mid-2000s. Inside the gates is a private marina with around 60 boat slips, a boat ramp and trailer storage, along with a pool and cabana, tennis courts and a clubhouse. Some homes have their own docks and lake frontage; others are a few blocks from the marina.

A lakeside address brings a different kind of dirt. Mornings on the water leave damp in the air that settles on paint overnight, and when that dries under Texas sun it leaves a mineral film and spotting on the glass and panels. Tow vehicles come back from the ramp with lake water on the rear bumper and hitch, and the cabin ends up with wet towels, sunscreen on the seats and sand in the carpet. Detailing a Vineyard Bay car usually means removing water spots before they etch, protecting the paint so it sheds the next layer, and restoring an interior that spends summer weekends at the lake.

We work Vineyard Bay every week — detailing everything from lake-day SUVs to garage-kept coupes. All we need from the house is an outdoor spigot and an outlet.
