Actual hills, actual cedar.
Travisso is built into cedar-covered canyons instead of flat prairie, so every winter the Ashe juniper around it drops heavy pollen on paint, and the steep drives are hard on brakes and wheels.
Travisso climbs the hills off County Road 175 near Volente, on the line between Travis and Williamson counties, and it is one of the few communities in the Leander and Cedar Park area built on genuine Hill Country terrain. Streets wind up and down slopes with canyon views, more than five miles of trails run through native cedar and oak, and the community borders several hundred acres of open land. Amenities include the Palazzo Clubhouse and a second centre called The Forum, and children are zoned to Leander ISD. Homes range from production plans to large custom builds, many with steep driveways and multi-car garages.
The same cedar that makes Travisso feel wild is what coats cars every winter. Ashe juniper releases heavy clouds of pollen from roughly December into February, and it leaves a yellow-green film on paint and glass that turns gummy when dew or sprinklers hit it. Oaks follow in spring. The hills bring their own wear: long descents mean more brake dust baked onto wheels, and steep drives make it tempting to skip washing altogether. A detail here should include proper wheel cleaning with an iron remover for embedded brake dust, a careful pollen pre-rinse before any contact wash, and attention to vents and fabric, because pollen gets inside too. Protection on the paint and glass makes cedar season much easier to manage.

How do I deal with cedar pollen on my car in Travisso?
Rinse it rather than wiping it, since dry pollen is abrasive. A detail uses a pre-soak and a thorough rinse to lift it cleanly, then a sealant or ceramic coating helps each new layer wash off. Inside, vents and fabric get vacuumed and wiped.
