Circle C Ranch spreads across wooded Hill Country land along MoPac and Escarpment Boulevard in far southwest Austin. Development began in 1982, the first homes went up in 1986, and it has grown to more than 5,600 homes, from late-1980s originals to houses built through the 2000s. After a long fight over development near Barton Springs and the Edwards Aquifer, the HOA settled with the City of Austin in 2002, gaining trails, school sites and landscape maintenance. The Veloway, a protected loop for cyclists and skaters, is here, along with Circle C Ranch Metropolitan Park on Slaughter Creek and its hiking trails.
Most cars in the community have a garage to keep the sun off, so the trouble is mostly on the inside. Bikes heading to the Veloway, muddy shoes from the Slaughter Creek trails, sports gear and child seats all leave their mark in cargo areas and footwells. The pale limestone dust common across southwest Austin works deep into carpet fibres and is hard to vacuum out. A seat and carpet shampoo with extraction pulls it free, and a clean, protected cargo area makes the next load easier. Outside, cars parked under the live oaks along the streets still collect pollen and sap, and a sealant keeps both from bonding.

How do I get limestone dust out of the carpet in Circle C Ranch?
A vacuum only moves it around. The seat and carpet shampoo add-on uses extraction to flush the fine dust out of the fibres, and floor mats are cleaned separately. Rubber mats in the footwells help keep it from coming back so fast.
I carry bikes to the Veloway from Circle C Ranch. Can you clean the hitch rack area and cargo space?
Yes. The rear bumper, hitch area and paint around the rack mounts are washed by hand, and the cargo area gets a full vacuum and wipe-down. Grease or chain marks on the carpet can usually be lifted with the seat and carpet shampoo add-on.
