Camelot sits just off busy Bee Cave Road with many 1960s and 70s homes being remodelled or rebuilt, so cars get traffic film on every trip plus fine construction dust from work down the street.
Camelot lies just south of Bee Cave Road and west of Loop 360, entered from Bee Cave Road at Castle Ridge Road. Its streets carry King Arthur-themed names and its neighbourhood association is the Camelot Roundtable. Houses date to the 1960s and 70s, usually on generous lots, some acreage-sized, set among the Westlake canyons, and many have been remodelled or replaced with new builds. It is in Eanes ISD and zoned to Forest Trail Elementary, and parts of it sit outside West Lake Hills city limits. Rollingwood, West Lake Hills and Westlake Highlands surround it.
Two things reach the cars here. The first is Bee Cave Road: nearly every trip starts on it, and its traffic leaves road film and brake dust on wheels and lower panels. The second is building work. When a 1960s house down the street is torn down or remodelled, demolition and cut-stone dust drifts across neighbouring driveways and settles as a fine grit that scratches if wiped off dry. Canyon lots with trees add welcome shade, but also sap and falling leaves. Getting a car right in Camelot means a gentle wash that floats the grit away, and a protective layer so the next coat of dust does not stick.
